What is the sand blasting process?
The sand blasting process uses compressed air as the power to form a high-speed jet beam, which sprays the spray material at high speed to the surface of the workpiece to be treated, so that the surface of the workpiece changes. Due to the impact and cutting effect of the abrasive on the surface of the workpiece, the surface of the workpiece can obtain a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the surface of the workpiece.
The main machine used in the process is a sandblasting machine, which is divided into a dry sandblasting machine and a liquid sandblasting machine. There is a difference between the two: the feeding power and acceleration power of the dry sandblasting machine are both compressed air; while the liquid sandblasting machine also needs a grinding liquid pump as the feeding power. But compared with the dry sandblasting machine, the liquid sandblasting machine can control the dust pollution during the sandblasting process and improve the working environment. The abrasives commonly used in sandblasting are quartz sand, copper ore, iron sand, etc. It should be noted that the pre-treatment stage of the sandblasting process affects the quality of the sandblasting process, so the surface of the workpiece should be treated accordingly before spraying. In addition, the corresponding operating procedures should be when performing sandblasting work to avoid accidents.
